Coronavirus Pandemic

Wecare Telehealth Response

WeCare Telehealth is responding to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic by collaborating with the Florida Department of Health (DOH), to assist low-income, uninsured Florida residents. We have created a free Coronavirus Risk Assessment Tool (CRAT) for patients to complete and obtain recommendations on any concern related to coronavirus.

During this difficult season, we want to change lives by bridging the gap in access to care with telehealth connections between people in need and our network of volunteer providers.

We are here for you when you need it the most!

Disclaimer

  • Our FREE services are only provided to low income, uninsured Floridians.

  • We only provide non-emergency medical service. If you have an emergency, do not connect with us. Please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.

  • Because of the high volume of patients requesting medical services, we are only seeing patients for health concerns related to COVID-19. For other health issues, please send us an email to patients@wecaretelehealth.org and we will contact you as soon as possible to schedule an appointment with a healthcare provider.

  •  We will not be able to provide a telehealth consultation for individuals who have medical insurance, or located in other states or countries are not eligible for this FREE service. However, if they still want to be evaluated, we will connect them with an available telehealth provider out of the Wecare network.

DOH Screening

Patients in Florida who are identified at high risk by a medical provider will be reported as person under investigation (PUI) and Wecare will coordinate with the DOH for a free COVID-19 test.

To comply with the Guidelines and Regulations of the Florida Department of Health (DOH), our patients must complete an eligibility screening. This needs must be done before the patient is seen by a healthcare professional.  A patient navigator will assist patients in completing this step.
